Vintage Menswear in a Headlock

New kid on the block, Tom Walker is riding the wave of vintage renaissance into the 21st century with the recent launch of his e-commerce vintage menswear website, headlockvintagesuits.co.uk.

Headlock Vintage Suits offers quality and affordable 60’s and 70’s men’s apparel online, with prices ranging from £7 for a tie, to £130 for the finest handpicked vintage suit.

Appealing to the young, fashion-forward gentleman with a penchant for original clothing, the website offers a carefully sought collection of clothing and accessories with each piece identified and selected for its designer label, or luxurious fabrics.

After two years spent building a following for Headlock Vintage fashions, Walker has now extended his offering to meet a growing demand within the tailored menswear category. The unique collection now includes Dior, Burtons and Harris Tweed collectables as well as a range of eclectic accessories including cravats and braces.

Tom Walker’s vision first transpired at just 18, when his passion for music led him to explore the clothing that had been worn by his favourite artists from The Beatles, to the modern day dandies, The Last Shadow Puppets. After recognising a gap in the market for vintage menswear retailers, Tom began sourcing his product and testing his business idea at Vintage Fashion Fairs across the country.

The entrepreneurial Tom Walker has successfully built the Headlock vintage brand, acquired a solid customer base and has now successfully launched his e-commerce website, headlockvintagesuits.co.uk.

Walker plans to further enhance the company’s offering by introducing a bespoke tailoring service, whereby the customer can have the suit fitted to their exact measurements or the suit shape can be adjusted to suit a more modern taste.

Commenting on the site’s launch, Walker says: ‘I’ve always been a fan of vintage style, as have my friends, so it seemed like a natural progression to turn my passion into a career. I want to be able to offer people stylish clothing but at affordable prices and with most suits on the site costing around £100, we can offer a unique, quality range that competes with the high street. Our plans for optional tailoring to the suits will ensure the brand’s offering remains competitive and on trend.’’
