I knew it would engulf yet I dived in fully. An album littered with passion, Our Version of Events is as breathtaking as it is brave. My Kind of Love echoes tones of Leona, and Mountains tastes of Adele. I am for words; such a joy for the quality of lyrics. Emeli Sandé seeps powerful exposures of vulnerability. River is deep and current single Next To Me would have Welsh singer Duffy wanting to sing karaoke.

Robin Thicke - Exhale (Whitney Houston Tribute)

The content of this record holds great value to me for many reasons. Taken from one of my all time favourite soundtracks, Robin Thicke's tribute to the late Whitney Houston classic Exhale (Shoop, Shoop) is a thing of pure beauty. His adaptation does not attempt to rival, only pay justice. The lyrics made ever so more poignant by the hauntingly fragile yet prepossessing falsetto of Mr Robin Thicke. We all strive for that moment when we can exhale, and for 3 minutes and 43 seconds we can close our eyes and have that.

There's no denying that Labrinth is a musical genius. I have been anxious for his album to be released for quite some time and watching him perform at BBC 1Xtra Live certified my respect for his craft. His 3rd single 'Last Time' is accompanied by a very bizarre video and multi-faceted musicality. I like this track.

The Story of Saturday Night: The Death of a Diva, The Bat of an Eyelash + A Slap in the Face

Should guys wear lashes??? Facebook status update. No/NO!/No never, if you do your not a guy!!!/NO!!/You're all too late ;) [1 like]

I'd done it. After several failed attempts the fake eyelashes were cemented and every blink produced a draft. These things were huge. Definite peacock material, notwithstanding the peacock necklace and earrings of course. I entered Livingroom amidst a gaze of gasps and the most unsubtle of stares. Not that I know anything of being subtle.

Sarah Lawrence looked cute in a fitted blue and white striped dressed that emphasised her chest. Pretty girl. It was about 1am that I got the text. We were all too busy enjoying ourselves in Bijou Club VIP. Whitney Houston is dead :( It was from Anthony Knight (@AnthonyJ_Knight). I refused to believe it. I checked Twitter; it was trending worldwide. God no. I had to tell the others. Tears followed as the news infected.

Fidel the local pest saw me sat down. 'Here we go' I thought. Week after week without fail he bugs the absolute crap out of me. Grabs my hair, doesn't take no for an answer, etc. Right nuisance, and tonight I was in no particular mood for his antics. Nice guy deep down, just a bad drunk. He grabbed my hair. I stood up straightaway 'Do that again and I will punch you in the face' I threatened loudly in front of his boys. I sat back down hoping that would be enough. It wasn't. In an attempt to show off even further he tried to pull off my right eyelash. Enough was enough. I shot back up and cracked him in the face. I know it was loud because people heard it over the music. I'm not a fighter nor do I condone violence. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself though. There was a bit of a stand off and the atmosphere fell tense. For a second I thought a fight would break out, but then he disappeared quickly into the crowd....probably to cry. Hopefully he'll leave me alone now.

Jskychat Exclusive: Dave Atkins Interview

Dave Atkins currently enjoys a leading role as Hollyoaks student Rob Edwards who's love for rugby and the student lifestyle come before that of his long suffering girlfriend Annalise Appleton. I caught up with him recently to get a quick interview.

How long have you been acting for? Previous experience.
I was in a play at High School and I have been acting since. When I left school I was in Northern Lights (which became City Lights), The Street, Doctor Who and also Candy Cabs. How old are you now? 22. That’s quite a lot of experience already. Yeah, there’s a few notches on the CV. It’s nice to be working here on Hollyoaks now on a character I can bring something different to.

What other actors are you a fan of/do you aspire to?
Emmett Scanlan (fellow Hollyoaks actor, who plays Brendan Brady). He’s amazing, and he’s been a big help.

Who has been your favourite Hollyoaks villain?
Again I would say Brendan Brady. I used to watch Hollyoaks before I was cast and he’s a really good character. He’s funny. He is, and there’s a lot to him.

Are you anything like your character?
[Laughs] Erm, [laughs] well, we have certain things in common. Like we both like to play rugby. I do see things in Rob that I have seen in other people.

You’ve seen me dressed up on a night out, and you’ve seen my blog. Tell me…what do you think of Jsky?
[Laughs] Yeah mate, you’re a top bloke. I’d just say you were a good lad; a top bloke.
